DaveDad Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I have found it extremely challenging to get images into my site without manually doing them one at a time after a copy and paste from the original site. I'm curious as to what everybody does for this. I have tried numerous drop shippers with only mild results at the best ones. am currently using doba and they are good with the file but no mass import of images. they do provide a URL function to the image but that doesnt seem to work. will the URL pointer to the image work if I format the CSV properly? how do you guys do this? Any tips are greatly appreciated. thanks, DAve
♥bruyndoncx Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 if you have a list of urls for the images, you can create an html page and use firefox with the download them all extension, then it is a question of uploading the images through ftp and mapping the correct filenames in e.g. easypopulate Other option is to use spider software like winhttrack to make offline copies of complete sites. the product images are typically stored in a single images directory, so it becomes easy to pick and choose the ones you need. HTH KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON I do not use the responsive bootstrap version since i coded my responsive version earlier, but i have bought every 28d of code package to support burts effort and keep this forum alive (albeit more like on life support). So if you are still here ? What are you waiting for ?! Find the most frequent unique errors to fix: grep "PHP" php_error_log.txt | sed "s/^.* PHP/PHP/g" |grep "line" |sort | uniq -c | sort -r > counterrors.txt
