srpromo Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Hello, I have a specific bundle problem. I have ten posters that we sell. I want to sell them in bundles of 12, 24, 48, 96. Creating the bundle is no problem, but i want to give the customer an opportunity to decide how many of which poster (adding up to the bundle product total). How do i offer my customer a way to purchase a bundle of 24, and select 6=poster A, 4=poster B, 7=poster C, 7=poster D which adds up to 24 and have it relate this back to my sku and inventory control? germ Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 This would work: Click Me What the poster wanted there was a minumum cart quantity of 12, and the total order quantity be a multiple of 12. Whether you realize it or not, you've set up the same scenario. You already have "bundles" of 12, 24, 48, 96. So if they ordered: 36 = 1 (12) bundle + 1 (24) bundle 60 = 1 (48) bundle + 1 (12) bundle 72 = 1 (48) bundle + 1 (24) bundle 84 = 1 (48) bundle + 1 (24) bundle + 1 (12) bundle Of course there are other possible mathematicel combinations. Like 36 could be 3 (12) bundles and 60 could be 5 (12) bundles and 72 could be 6 (12) bundles and 84 could be 7 (12) bundles. It all depends on how you want to "bundle" it up. If no one has any better ideas, you could do the same mod. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. What i want to do is have the bundle of 12 posters with the question of "Which posters does the customer want, one of each, 5 of posterA, zero of posterC..??? So I want the customer to be able to select the quantities of each poster UP TO the product bundle amount. So if they are looking at the 24 poster Bundle Product, then they need to tell me what 24 posters they want out of the 10 posters i sell. so do they want 4 each of 6 different posters (which ones) and then have that translate back to the inventory control that 4 sku's have been sold within the bundle pack. germ Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I don't know how you want to relate back to SKU's but you want exactly the same thing the other guy did, you just don't relaize it. <_< If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
