nct Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 I am new here and need help. I am in transition of changing my store to a new server and the guy that is helping me said that my version of OSCommerce on line store is a 2002 version. I am sure there is a newer version, right? 1. I would like ti update the version as we move it so it has the newest options. 2. I would also like to add "Text Editor" Feature so it would be easier for me to make changes to my descriptions of the product i am selling. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Nick

Nick Download and install the latest version. Yours is probably not compatible to update.
nct Posted August 13, 2008 Author Posted August 13, 2008 So the new version has that feature? And the new update is FREE to down load if I already have the system? Where would i find that new version?

You have to install the contribution called text master. The red community tab at the top of the page, them contributiond. The blue solutions tab at the top of the page, then downloads.
nct Posted August 13, 2008 Author Posted August 13, 2008 Found it..... Thank you very much. I sent the info to the guy helping me with the changes. Nick
nct Posted August 15, 2008 Author Posted August 15, 2008 That didn't work. What I am looking for is something like what we use on forum when posting. Bold/Fonts/Size...and so on. So when I am loading my product I can customize the description better since I don't know the codes first hand.
Jack_mcs Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 You need to install an HTML editor contribution in the categories.php file. The most popular are TinyMCE Anywhere and FCKEditor.
