lesleyr Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Hello everyone! I Hope that someone can help me. I am using dreamweaver and when i open the PHP files that are used in CartExpress I can never "see" the page just a bunch of PHP labels. I guess the first thing to ask is if there is something that shows what every file does and how we can make changes (i know, that would be too easy right)? Second I guess i will give an example: In the check out php file i want to be able to change the text box that is there asking for special requests and change it to something else and then add it in to the email that gets sent....how would i go about that? I hope that someone can help me. Thank you in advance.
Jan Zonjee Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Someone....anyone??? This forum is about osCommerce. Now you are asking how to work with Dreamweaver on CartExpress (whatever that may be)? Perhaps you have trouble with your car also? Maybe we can give advice on that too?

Perhaps you have trouble with your car also? Maybe we can give advice on that too? WOW! THat was pretty harsh. No, no problems with my car but if you are willing we can check it out and see. ALso, i am having some other problems as well.... Anyway, on with my question. Look, I was just saying what I was using, which is Dreamweaver and CartExpress is the osCommerce program I am using; when I am on there it tells me this is where to go to get information on how to do things. I use CartExpress from One World Hosting. I would not have come to this site looking for answers if this isnt where the program I am using pointed me. SO, if someone does know what I am referring to if they could help me out I would appreciate that. Thank you.

shroud98 Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 ok commerce question. I am supposed to upload the index.php as part of the files group. I already have an index page for my site? Will I need to change my index to something else or is there a way around this?

Mark, if you want to "integrate" osCommerce into your existing web site, you may want to give the Simple Template System a look. It will allow you to keep your existing site and bring in osCommerce functionality into your current design. You can download it using the link in my signature below (stsv4.5.8). Thank you very much for your time. I will definately look into it. I was very frustrated once I tried to get it all to work and realized the index.php page couldn't upload. Thanks again. OH and I don't need help with my car thanks.
