WoodsWalker Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Hi Folks! I am finding conflicting information, so I wondered if anyone could tell me: what does admin's Images>Calculate Image Size actually do? I get the impression that it causes trouble, but what kind? Also, I have never been able to figure out, in a stock osC installation, where does the system put the "Small Image(s)" and the "Heading Image(s)". I've tried experimenting, with confusing results. Thanks! ~Wendy
jhande Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Calculate Image Size - http://www.oscommerce.info/docs/english/e_images.html Small Images = Thumbnails Heading Images = Page Heading Images (example table_background_xxx.gif) Sub-Category Images = what else, sub-category images. When clicking on a category which has sub-categories they display in the top middle of the main section. - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
WoodsWalker Posted August 12, 2008 Author Posted August 12, 2008 Thanks, Jim! Somehow, I had missed this page. Still, I am left with a question. The explanation given on this page for "Calculate Image Size" is: Calculate Image Size: Calculate Image calculates the width and/or height settings that have been set. Perhaps I'm dense, but I don't know what this means. If you've set the size, then what remains to be calculated? Thanks, ~Wendy
