DSW custom turnkey website doesnt support EPopulate

I contacted DropShippingWholesalers, who have provided me with a so called "turnkey solution" website, regarding importing products using Easy Populate. Apparently what they have given me is so customized that every time I need to do something like populate products I have to pay them to do it. They have informed me that easy populate is not supported by them (even though it is in my admin console, it doesnt work) and they will only populate products from vendors they have listed on there site. that totally sucks. what should I do? move site to another host? scrap site and start over with a new host? hire support to "uncostomize" site? It really sucks because all of the tutorials and information out there dont apply to me because of the customization. All of this would be no big deal if DSW actually had support to help me but they are absolutely TERRIBLE. Keep in mind I am an IT Service Desk manager so I know quite well the difference between good and bad support. Do Not Use DSW if you are new to osCommerce. Any help is greatly appreciate.

To take a supplier's file and reformat it into a file that EP will import is not difficult, just needs some excel or access db programming skills if you want to automate it.

 

But why should DSW do this for every supplier in the world? They have a list which I am sure is on their web site / terms and conditions.

 

Each supplier file format is different so there is work involved in reformatting a file from a new supplier.

 

BTW if you do get them to import the file remember to specify if the product is taxable or not. (I posted some sql to fix a DSW loaded file earlier today)

So how do I find out whats required to edit a file into a working EP file?
