google has 44 pages of my site already listed, but my pagerank is low (I don't have a lot of inbound links yet). I'm currently using the native search engine friendly urls, but that keeps all the index.php pages the same page title and description and keywords...it also dupes some of the other pages.

I am also using the meta tags contribution, but I'm considering going to the header tags contribution because it does more than just the products.

I have an external sitemap.xml creator that pings google when the new sitemap is created, but does anyone see a downside to making the change? I just thought that the name in the url was a good idea, and that the more unique page title and tags were better for the categories and sub-categories. On the downside, it's already got a lot of my pages in the index.

What should I do in your estimation?

Thanks in advance for the imput!

I use Ultimate SEO myself. I think its better than search engine friendly urls. Header tags is good too. I would use it if I were you. Definately try to get some inbound links as well. Anything to help get in the search engines. Good product descriptions are helpful as well.

44 pages is almost nothing to have listed. Eventually your site will have one or two thousand links so it is best to make such changes now than then. Plus, changing the titles with Header Tags will only improve things. So, in my opinion, you should make any such changes now.

Thanks Guys, that's what I thought, but I didn't want to go off half cocked. I meant 44 google pages....435 of my pages... I figured the Header Tags contribution was the way to go, so that's what I'll do. I'm working on inbound links now, but I figure it's going to take me a while to get to anything close to 200!
