Guest Posted August 8, 2008 Share Posted August 8, 2008 Mr Kaminsky discovered a way for malicious hackers to hijack DNS and re-direct people to fake pages even if they typed in the correct address for a website. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7546557.stm Test your website: http://recursive.iana.org/ Test your computer: http://www.doxpara.com/ (if your pc is vulnerable, an easy fix is to use opendns' servers: http://opendns.com ) Disable recursion for your server: http://www.webhostgear.com/321.html If your host hasn't disabled recursion yet, you may want to suggest they do.
