Hey there..

I was wondering If anyone could help me. I am trying to add a horizontal menu to my oscommerce site. This is just a general menu no categories included (as they will be staying on the left hand side)

Has anyone else managed to do this. I did try and create one by including it in the includes/header.php file but it didn't seem to work very well. Anyway below is the one I tried and what I am trying to achieve... Many thanks for any help in advance...

it says right in the description, it will work if you do it right.. so the question is, what did you do wrong. What were your results, and how did it show on your site when you did upload it.

the firs tthing that you MAY have made a mistake with would be that you didnt put it in the proper place, if your tables are screwy, then that would be the biggest issue..

A great place for newbies to start

Hi there... My site is not currently available to view but I have followed the instructions as follows...

Add this css file to your site. In this example, it's in the same directory as this page;

-- I have tried adding this code to the stylesheet.css file and also tried adding the menuh.css file to both the root and the includes directories.

Add the csshover.htc file to your site. In this example, it's in the same directory as this page;

-- I have tried adding this file to both the root and the includes directories

Add the html IE sniffer code as shown below into your web page between the <head> tags;

-- I have tried this out on the index page by adding it before the </head> tag and also tried it in the header.php file

Prepare and add your html link code to your web page. An example is shown below. Please insert your text and links as needed.

-- I want to get the menu at the bottom of the header.php file so it appears above the content of the rest of the page but below the rest of the content in header.php

When I apply all of this the menu functions correctly but is floating in the top left of the screen.

Many Thanks for your help

perhaps you're using absolute instead of relative?
