markroberts Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I have tried various shipping methods to no avail. I have finally settled on a flat rate $8.50 for orders under $50 and free over that. These are products that I manufacture myself and this seems to work pretty good. The problem that I have is that I have a line of very small items that cost $10 - $15 and fit inside a padded envelop that only cost about $1.30 to send via USPS mail. Obviously, when someone places an order for one of these, it wants to charge $8.50....way too much. Is there a way to assign shipping charges on a per item basis? Or anyone have any suggestions as to how to handle this. Input would be appreciated. Thanks.
toneus Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I'm new to this, but shipping has been causing me a headache too. As far as I can see though you could assign a table rate based on price not weight. This way you could determine at what level your shipping charges change. My problem is that the goods are heavy and rates vary depending upon the post code of the destination. Nightmare. t o n e u s
