looking for quality php editor, hopefully someone can help I have no idea what I am looking for

Crimson

JEdit

 

I'm sure others will mention the "best one" that I didn't include but you really need to try them yourself since each has their own feel. They are easy to install and use so it doesn't take much time to try them. I actually use more than one since some of the more complex ones take to long to load for fast edits. As long as you have room on your computer, there's no reason to just use one.
