drakehz Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 For some reason i cannot get any emails working, i dont know if its the email side or the oscommerce side. I am trying to send an email threw commerce, so i tested it and sent a email to a known email of mine and it didnt show up. I sent the email from oscommerce customers-->email but it didnt show up in the inbox. Can someone tell me what is going on and also when you sign up it doesnt send a confirmation email or a welcome email and when you go to password forgot it doesnt send an email. Someone please help me.
Guest Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Go to admin-->configuration. select email options and set email transport method to sendmail, email linefeeds to LF and sen emails to true.

I tried placing an order myself but received no email confirmation so assume normal customers don't either. Suggestions plese Ive tried changing the emails to just my email address without names beforehand and tried sendto for the email settings

satish Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Some email filters are placed by hosting company to tackle spam. So You need to chek in this two steps: In tep_main\l function write a file write code and chek whether code is getting executed(if file gets the content means it s getting execute).If code is getting executed then the server level filter is responsible so just ask Your hosting company as to whether emails sent from Your site are getting blocked plus whats the reasin and solution that this can be taken care of.
