Urgent Help Required Paypal Order Details - IPN

Hello,

 

I posted in the general section but got no response, i guess this is the right place to post.

 

I have setup my store and all is working.

 

Except the order details are not being transfered to paypal.

I need all the items to appear in the paypal receipt.

 

I would prefer to use web payments standard so the customer does not need a paypal account..

I have tried express checkout and i have the same issue.

 

Now, i know a solution is to use Paypal IPN contribution.. but.. the reason i need the order details in paypal is because i use linnsystems order management software which manages all my ebay sales and websites with simple buy now buttons. In paypal the IPN URL is set to linnsystems servers so it can get all the updated order information.

If i install paypal IPN modules i'm guessing that i would have to change this setting within paypal (to an address on my site?), which would render my Order software useless.

 

I think i need to send the order details to paypal from my oscommerce store another way than IPN. I did read somewhere that somebody wrote some code which does this, but it is over 4 years old, and the file name to edit didn't exist..

 

I hope someone can help me here, as my store is currently not live due to this.

I really don't want to use the admin panel to process my orders.. the linnsystems order management software is perfect for what i need.. label printing, ebay intergration etc

with PayPal IPN contribution you don't need to activate the PayPal IPN settings in PayPal account as the PayPal does it automatically.

this is almost working...

 

when i make the module send item details to paypal i get the error

 

"Some required information is missing or incomplete. Please correct your entries and try again."

 

yet, if i click back, and go through again, it works fine, and sends the details.... but obviously most customers won't do this.. do you know what the problem may be?

i am no coder, but i can follow instructions...

 

another problem, is that, this does not trigger an IPN from paypal to my order management software (i've contacted for advice), they provide very good support.. linnsystems..

 

please help if you can
