I was making a hint, but it seems that just went right over your head!!

You've said your pics are messed, thats it, so what, how can anyone tell anything from that.

You must give as much detail as possible, or your not going to get any answers.

Were not mind readers & the phycic energy gone right out of our crystal balls this week.

PS Did you find the squeek?

Now if it was me, and I didn't have too many products online, I would...

1. Clear all of the products and categories via OSC's admin.

2. Open my FTP software and delete all of the product images from the catalog\images folder.

3. Create a new category and a few new products uploading new images.

Otherwise I'd get some WD40 for that squeek!

If its not broken...why try fixing it??

It's a pitty, but products are about 500 and it would be huge work to put them in the shop again.

Sam asked more details.

When i put new product , them photo will be good, but automaticaly others products photos mixed up. Not all products, but only few (~10) from ~4-5 categories.

What mods do you have, what version are you running on what, what have you tried (checked for duff dbase, hacking corruption etc etc) And a url helps too.

The problem could be with the size of the images you are uploading

People seem to think if they have a massive image that it can be uploaded to oscommerce

Not only does this take up more bandwidth, but it can distort the pages in your store

As a rule of thumb, try to keep images as close as possible to 200 by 200 pixels when you upload

website url: http://www.dekovita.lt

http://www.dekovita.lt/index.php/cPath/78 Here is 6th and 7th images, which are mixed.

For example the 6th picture also is in this category: http://www.dekovita.lt/index.php/cPath/78 (and this category is right)

This website doesn't use any contribution which aren't in standart packet. Only default.

I'm waiting for your help.

Can't see anything there, a take it picture 6 & 7 should be transposed?

But most important, ITS A TEMPLATE, so not standard at all.

Thanks for 3 url, I was after 1 url and 2 part numbers.

Then I can go to the 2 part numbers and check the properties of the images.

If they are the same name then your product information needs to be updated.

If they are different then the "wrong" image needs to be overwritten with the correct image.

6th and 7th can mean different things to different people looking at the same screen.

Maybe you can tell me more, why my shop has this problem, and what I have to do if I want to solve it.

I think this information would help for more people in future.

Thanks

I am having an image distortion problem as well.

My images if they are say 200h x 150w are short and fat. if it 200w x 150h it is distorted.

My images are not square they are hxw or wxh. different sizes. I don't see the adjustment in images configuration.

I tried shutting off one of the small image dimentions set to 0 and the already uploaded product images then looked right in the store. So I tried adding another product but with the one dimention at 0 the image would not upload nor would the product be saved. I used OS a few years back and didn't have a problem like this.

What would be the answer to this problem. My store is looking very good except for the images. I am useing the latest version with no image contribs. You can see the distortion at http://www.victorianclipartdelite.com/store

thanks

Thanks Geoffreywalton for letting me know. The"blank not zero" produces depending on which dimention you blank one image that is really big and the other is quite small. If I blank both then the images are huge.

Again I am new though I have been a member for a few years.

I had looked through the forum for the distorted images topic and did see that the website url: http://www.dekovita. lt not only had url problems but distorted images as well. so pardone me for trying to "hijack totally unrelated threads" The help products mixed up came up in my search for distorted images. So should I have started a new topic?
