blank index.php and blank catalog/admin page

Hello

Installation went smoothly and I was able to proceed through all 4 steps once I put catalog/install in a browser. But once I tried clicking on the catalog and admin panel links on the finished page, the index.php and catalog/admin/index.php, the pages were blank. Any ideas about what would case this or suggestions about where I should go back and redo something would be greatly appreciated.

you probably have an error, but you MIGHT have your errors turned off. You shoudl go through and make sure that ALL errors show.. then you can get some more help.

open your php.ini file in your root

 

add this

 

<?php

// Report all PHP errors

error_reporting(E_ALL);

?>

 

BACK UP BEFORE MAKING CHANGES.. i am just telling you how to do this via my own internet searches, I have not had to do this.. i just know that usually a blank page means there are errors, but they are no showing
