d4funky1
Hi, Can this be fixed? URL 1 http://www.fancydressretail.co.uk/Halloween/c2/index.html - leads where it should URL 2 http://www.fancydressretail.co.uk/Halloween/c2/ - leads to a 404 error page is there a way in which URL 2 will display the same as URL 1? The reason i ask is that google sitemaps is showing warnings for URL 2 saying that it is a broken link where it should really be seeing the same info as on URL 1 Does this make sense? Hope so. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks D4

Many Thanks D4 Hi D4, I would suggest you check with you host, they need to make sure that your standard index pages work, such as html, htm, php, asp, etc. It doesn't seem to be anything your end, you might also want to check theat they have set it up so that your URL works without the www. d4funky1
Hi, I have checked with my host 1and1 and they say that because the physical folder does not exist in my web space it will always show a 404 error? As the pages are dynamically produced is there another way of achieving this? Thanks D4

Thanks D4 D4, When I type in your URL with the /index.html it redirects to http://www.fancydressretail.co.uk/halloween-2/, so I am guessing that is where your problem is. It looks like you have created a redirection that might not work with your other URL. Look into that. Cheers Dizzy
