volvoman Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 I am getting this File Manager /public_html/catalog/ Warning: dir(/public_html/catalog/) [function.dir]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home/volvoman/public_html/catalog/admin/file_manager.php on line 178 Fatal error: Call to a member function read() on a non-object in /home/volvoman/public_html/catalog/admin/file_manager.php on line 179 When i click on file manager in my admin but this is not the only problem that i am having. When i try to add a new product and click on browse it will open to my local machine but when i try to upload it says no file was uploaded. Can someone suggest a fix for this. I know that i have had this problem for along time but now i am developing a new store at www.vmsperformance.com/demo and all of the product and catagoies will be changed so it is quite important now that i get the problem resolved. Thank you Terry

lindsayanng Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 yes, DO NOT use the oscommerce file manager to edit and upload files.. you SHOULD use an ftp client, i use dreamweaver, which is good for that.. and you can your use host if it has cpanel for uploading and editing, but dont push it too much as for your error i believe it might be due to the version php you are using.. which version are you on??? Guest Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Reinstalling osc and continuing to use doubtful processes will result in further heartache and angst.
