fizisition Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 My customers commonly misspell their state or a typo will default them to the state of AL. This does not allow my fedex module to return a rate and the customer leaves w/o purchasing. Is there a fix for adding a drop down box to the state field? Quote

You can create drop drop down menu for state and store in the DB yourself. It simply not in the DB for now. Go to Configuration under admin (you'll log in). Click on Localisation/Taxes. Click Tax Zones. Then click "new zone" or so. There you can manually add each state as you may need and up to over 50 states including "the islands" for U.S of America if you wish. Those created are then stored in the DB to create the drop down menu. I advise that you first create for abour 5 state and go back into your address page and test it first before you create for the whole 50 states. That is how I created mine anyway and that is how it is design. Waidi Quote
