NoddyAsh Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Hi, New at this so apologise if obvious action required. Site is hopefully going to be used to pay and download files in zip format. Set the config for downloads ok and checked all the settings, folder permissions and file names etc. Want to use an existing paypal account (Business). Paypal module installed from default installation. Payment goes through ok but there is no download available or shown. Any assistance appreciated, thanks. NoddyAsh
FIMBLE Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Hello by default the ststus that your customers get placed on once payment is recieved is "pending" again, by default this setting does not allow for downloads, you need to do one of two things. under admin / localization / order status change the staus for "Pending" to allow for downloads. OR for each order admin / customers/ orders and from the far right Details, update the order to show Processing or delivered. Regards Nic I can't see an option to change the pending status to allow for downloads. I've tried changing order status to delivered under the admin but still no luck. Once payment is made nothing occurs. I click on the back to web site and the order is shown as delivered but can't find out how it's supposed to be downlaod. NoddyAsh

You need to install the PayPal IPN contribution to enable to set the order status & get automatically update the order status of the order. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. There are a few conditions to be fulfilled: 1)Payment status to be above certain level: SO You need to set the payment status to processing or something and not pending once payment is recd.IPN might help in this. 2)NUmber of downloads allowed and days for which download allowed is also an area to be looked in.
