Universal user ID support ?

Hi!

 

I am just a regular computer user.

 

Here is the issue: With all the online forums, mail lists, support services, webshops and so on, the list of my user ids and passwords approaches infiniti.

 

Sure I can try to use the same or similar one on all sites, but that does not really solve the problem*.

 

The same issue happens with osCommerce sites.

 

Would you please consider adding support for some universal user ID in the next version(s) ?

 

(I personally know OpenID and MS Passport as such services)

 

This would make the life of netizens much easier.

* due to :

- different userID formats (emil-like, only-numbers etc...)

- different password polices (minimum length, allowed characters etc...)

- password expirations (if it expires on one site, I either don't have any more the same passwords on all sites, or I can spend the weekend changing the password on all sites)

- etc ...
