Problem getting default modules to appear

Recommended Posts

Hi all. I am VERY new at this whole PHP thing. I am trying to set up my shipping, payment and orders total modules, but when I go there from the Admin section, none of the default modules are showing up. It just says Install with a green plus sign. When I click on this, nothing happens at all. It seems like it can't find the correct path and is leaving out the includes part. Any changes I make are doing nothing to change this. Can anyone please point me in the direction of a post that helps with figuring out the default modules, or to install contribution ones...or know why this is happening? Thanks a ton. I'm frazzled over it.

chek Your FS path in admin includes configure.php.

As these are cheked by code thru system file path.

A wrong value will result in code cheking some other folder.

If folder not found will display nothing.

To chek what Your FS path should be try server info doc root or script path.

We've checked the configuration.php in the admin/includes folder and it has the right paths

When we click on modules in the Admin function all it shows us is the correct path to the modules but no modules.

What else should we check?

$file_extension = substr($PHP_SELF, strrpos($PHP_SELF, '.'));

$directory_array = array();

if ($dir = @dir($module_directory)) {

while ($file = $dir->read()) {

if (!is_dir($module_directory . $file)) {

if (substr($file, strrpos($file, '.')) == $file_extension) {

$directory_array[] = $file;

}

}

}

sort($directory_array);

$dir->close();

}

This code in modules.php is where the $directory_array[] = $file; collects all.

So You need to analyse by placing soem file write or echo code.

some points from this code:

Dir to have read permission for all groups.

All file extension to be .php
