Paypal not working right

I have an earlier version of osc on my website (I purchased an existing business). When I activated the paypal option, it worked great EXCEPT that there was no item or description in the order of what the customer wanted. Therefore I would have to contact them to ask what they wanted to purchase. Obviously, this is not a satisfactory way of doing business so I disabled the paypal option. Does anyone know what I did wrong or what setting needed to be activated to allow the item to be entered into the paypal portion? The cart would show the item ordered but the paypal order I received would not. I hope I'm making sense.

Thanks for any input anyone can give me about this.

You didnt do anything wrong :) your customers (or you testing) didnt press the big yellow "return to shop" button in paypal, so the order isnt stored in OSC. Its a problem ive just realised today, possibly PP have changed something?
