AfricaPC Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 Hi everyone, Im new to OSC. Got to love open source !! I have a site i am busy developping at the moment. Is there anyway to make the site full more of the screen easily. IE 1024x768 Its kind of small.... Many thanks
Guest Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 Darren, I don't think that you can make OSC change the monitor resolution so the site looks better on each monitor it is displayed on. However, I know that when I create the top banner on most sites I make the banner 1000x200 (approx.) so that the users with widescreen monitors can open the browser wider and fill more screen. My current settings are 1280x1024 so I create sites compatible with my resolution........and presumable everything less than my resolution will look ok. Chris
AfricaPC Posted July 28, 2008 Author Posted July 28, 2008 Thanks Chris, Yes i want to make the site fit the screen (regardless of what res they run) I use a 22" wide LCD screen, but even this fourum's page fits the screen nicley. Alternativly i want the site to fill the screen of a 1024 (most commonly used i think) if thats posible. Im using a template at the moment and tie site looks nice but i want it to auto adjust to fit the page. Is that possible?
spooks Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 If you make things 100% wide they will always fill screen! osC default it 100% wide. Center & size Shop http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/1485 You cannot reset users screen resolution, nor should you want too.
