Adding additional comments field to order process

Hoping someone can assist.

I am most likely missing something obvious in front of my face, as I'm sure we all run into from time to time, but here is what I'm trying to do.

 

I am working on a floral site design in oscommerce.

Everything is completed, just need some assistance on this one part.

 

On the checkout_shipping.php page there is the comments box, which I have changed to a special instructions/delivery notes area.

On the checkout_payment.php page there is usually that repeat of the comments box. I have changed this to a greeting card note box, and the carried the information over to the checkout_confirmation.php page as well as entered what I believe to be the proper info on the orders.php part.

 

For some reason, I cannot get this to write into the database. I created a table within orders called (greetcomments).

I know that this is an easy fix, I've just been looking at the screen for too long and if someone can provide a quick routine or fix, would be greatly appreciated.

 

Should just be an easy write of the textbox for the "greetcomments" into the mysql file.
