Validate email address with underscores or numbers?!

Hi everyone,

 

I just notice that is impossible to register on an oscommerce store using an email with underscores or numbers. I've looked through the validations.php but I don't know what to do. I already tried to add the _ and numbers to $valid_chars but it still doesn't work.

 

Any ideas?!

Worked for me...registered a test account on our site with an _ in the email address ... no errors .. nothing...created account just fine...have you changed any of the code??

The same happens to one of my sites. A customer with email address jaidee123 [at] gmail.com (changed some letters for privacy but email is 4 a-z characters, 2 "e" and "123) but cannot register because osCommerce will say email appears to be invalid. The weird thing is that using the same email address but adding .com.ar did work.

 

Any idea?
