crandall87 Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 I just hate it when oscommerce does not produce an order process email and change stock when paypal doesn't redirect back to the site. I have paypal IPN so the order process does appear in my orders section but I then have to change the stock manually. I am after one of two things to aid me as larger orders can take upto an hour to change the stock! 1. The products id to appear on the invoice. 2. A contribution (that I have seen but just cannot find anymore) that changes the stock of the products on someones order for this circumstance. I would just love one of the above to make my life much easier.

I have paypal IPN so the order process does appear in my orders section but I then have to change the stock manually. I have the same problem this week. Hasn't happened since I upgraded to osCommerce 2.2 but this week twice I got PayPal IPN notification by email and an order started but incomplete and no email from my store letting me know. Also had to remove stock manually. Does this happen simply because the customer doesn't get returned to the store?
crandall87 Posted July 24, 2008 Author Posted July 24, 2008 Yes I think this is what causes it however I have set paypal to do this automatically after 10 seconds yet some people still don't let it do this despite the site clearly telling them to.

Kemi Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 yes and if someone orders correctly the stock is subtracted. my question is how do I subtract the stock based on what someone has ordered. I don't know, I just remove them manually from the store inventory after I make sure that the money is in PayPal.
Shackscs Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 I took would like to see a solution to this problem. If a customer pruchases a one of a kind item, I don't want someone else to be able to also purchase that item.

If a customer purchases a one of a kind item, I don't want someone else to be able to also purchase that item. I understand as I have several one of a kind items for sale as well. This problem has been around since I first started using osCommerce in 2003.
