replacing password in .htpasswds

Hi, I am having difficulty in opening an admin in one of my shopping carts. After reading some postings, I went into my htpasswds and changed the password (I tried the one in there first, but it didn't work), but it still doesn't work. I am doing this in my root directory and changing the password in the appropriate folder. Any ideas? Help PUHlease! :blush:

Go to cpanle provided by hosting company and from there using pasword protect icon move to Your admin folder.

Here You can replace.

 

the other way is delete htaccess file in admin folder and then using some other sites create a new htaccess file and upload.
