Hi,

I get this message :-

Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory.

How do i do this ?

And also with which service provider should I buy server space who supports all options to install OScommerce..

Thank You.

Basically, don't, its a security risk and may not be an option anyway.

Make sure you have the latest version (2.2rc2a) and if still a problem there are several contribs to resolve this.

I use 5quidhost.co.uk who are resellers of liquidweb.com if you are US based, have had no probs & good service.

Hello

I had the same problem - I went to my file manager and found the sys file through my home directory/file/path. When clicking on the sys file - I am faced with php4 and php5 folders. Then click on either folder that your php account is set to. Mine was php5. (If you don't know what your account is set to - you can find it - at least I can through my hosting account - by clicking on the php settings section in my hosting account. Once you open the appropiate folder to your settings - then click on the php.ini file to edit it.

Now, through my hosting service - I was able to ask them to change it to on. They did it within minutes and saved me a lot of eye strain trying to find the coding and figure it out. Just a suggestion....

And again - if you don't want to turn it on - search the contributions section to find - I think it is the php.ini contribution or the register globals v1.5 contribution.

I use my own hosting - I am a reseller for LiquidNet. I use their service for all of my websites. I love their customer service because they are super quick to respond - and extremely helpful. They have helped me in numerous occasions saving me a lot of time! You can visit my site for more details if you want.
