mickm
Try setting your email setting under admin/configuration/e-mail options from "SMTP" to "sendmail". You may have better luck that way Mick

pbfk
Try this. Try setting your email setting under admin/configuration/e-mail options "send e mail" to 'false' from 'true'. You will narrow your problem.

mickm
OK I'm not totally 100% sure with windows but you may have to supply your mail server address, username and password. That way it will allow the server to send out emails on your behalf. I use Unix and it is a lot different. Maybe someone with windows experience can advise you on this one. mickm
Unfortunately my experience in this side of things is very limited. I have looked through my set up etc and can't find the area to configure. Hopefully someone out there will be able to provide the answer for you. I wish you luck.
