Images not uploading

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am trying to add products to my catalouge, I put in all the details in the backend of my admin section, but when I browse for the product image, then click preview, it comes with an error that the file was not uploaded.

I've been through everything, the image format is jpeg, filesize, around 20 kb on average, etc: no problems there. I've tried uploading the file via FTP, and then inserting the URL of the image into the browse for file line, but it wont accept it, it has to be uploaded from my PC.

Hope this makes sense - any help will be much appreciated. Thanks

Silly question... When you browse for the image, click on it, then click open, does it show in the supplied box on the Admin page?

Are you using a stock install or a template system?

What version of osC are you using?

Did you alter any of the folder/directory names or structure on the server?

I think there was another thread posted a few days ago with similar problems. I think the problem was worked out. You might want to search back through a few days worth or do a Google search for it.

Maybe the file nameing is the problem, or you've uploaded CMYK picture.

Take care to use ONLY small english letters with numbers.

DO NOT USE:

  • space
  • special characters (like * / ,)
  • capital letters (like: ABC.JPG)
  • not english characters (like: ő, á, é, etc)

I hope this help.
