Keep track of exact stock with attributes - how?

Hope somebody have THE answer to this one - I dont think its that of an uncommon problem/concern.

 

Example:

I have a product with different colors, and I want to control the exact stock of each variation.

OSC as standard doesnt address this, but after having installed QtPro it helps.

 

However I´m looking for a unique product_model ID for each variation of the attributes - is it somehow possible?

 

I checked Masterproduct, where you assign a Master and a Slave - but its not as versatile as Qtpro.
