Items STUCK in Cart / Orders NOT found

I've got a customer, the only one who this is happening to with the following settings:


Window ME and AOL 7.0


Here's what happening in his own words:


"1) I place my order on your system, pay, then come back the next month to see what's new and the item's I already paid for are still in my shopping cart.


2) On the My Account page under Order History, it says that I haven't made any purchases, even though I've already paid for a few items in the last couple of months."


Past telling him to clear his cache, is there anything else it might be? Or does it sound like a cache/cookie problem?


I can go under MySqlAdmin and see his orders and basket contents.


Any help would be appreciated..

Sounds like he is buying via PayPal and never completing the transaction with the continue button. Results being ... you get paid he gets charged no order history and stuff still in the cart.
