Go daddy ssl-Never again

Went with go daddy as they were cheap-big mistake.

Took about 10 hours before i received my certificate as apparently my contact details didnt show on whois database for verification. Fair enough.

Instructions received from go daddy for my plesk were not quite right for my vps, followed the info twice and re-keyed my cert twice trying to sort the problem. Suddenly dawned on me i needed to generate the cert for the administrators repository on my vps- guess what you only get 2 re-keys on go daddy. Contact go daddy explaining the situation, 12 odd hours later i get an e-mail explaining how to re-key my csr to generate a new certificate. aaaarrrrgggghhhh! i told them i couldnt do this as i had used my 2 re-keys.

Another 12 hour wait for a reply i guess.

In the meantime i looked at rapidssl as they offered a 30 day free trial. What can i say? superb! Verified my contact details via automated phone call (they to had trouble verifying me via whois) i had my cert in minutes, was piece of cake compared to go daddy with there weird setup and it works perfectly! Well have a bit of playing around with the ssl in admin, but my catalogue was piece of cake to configure after a little fiddling in plesk. (fingers crossed!!!)

Will be seeing about a refund from go daddy-complete shambles.

Hummmmmmm, I have used GoDaddy for a couple sites all with SSL's and there were no issues. Wonder why you had some? ;)

you probably lucky one. As I have issue when after 72 hours my certificate for .co.uk never been issued, as for support they used different excuses, at the end of my experience I asked them to refund the order due to they can't deliver the service.

Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here!

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.

Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

Just had another e-mail from them, now saying i have to e-mail someone else! a 12 hour wait for that, and now i guess another 12hr wait for yet another reply. And also just noticed, they don't have 24 hr support on SSL?

Have now demanded a refund. Shambles.
