Proper backup procedure

HI all,

I would like to know what is the best proper backup procedure for the oscommerce. For instance,

if i have one backup of all files on the local directory called 'backupcopy1'. And then the remote linux

server with existing files and database. If i wish to restore back the backupcopy1 to remote linux

server. Just i need here is a good proper backup procedure and steps if possible. What will the best

way to recover it and also the restore database. I have MYSQL and also the admin page to restore

backup function too.
