Thumbnails and more images

1. I want to find a better algoritm for making the thumbnails. It has to handle png transparency. I'd like it to be able to add transparent space to adjust the image height to a set value. This to make all images the same size without loosing the correct ratio.

 

2. If this doesn't exist I want to make my own thumbnails. Upload eather through ftp or auto upload, eather by entering the filename in the admin or using a standard fildname addition...

 

3. I'm also looking for something to add more product images. I've looked at a few alternatives but havn't found "my" version of it yet. I want one big product image and small versions of the others.

 

4. When I click on an product image I want the image to be shown centered on the page with a back button before and a next button after (if there are more than one image). I think a contrib called Lightbox does this, is that correct? Is that the one or are there alternatives?

 

5. I'm building my shop at shop.babythings.se. Please tell me what you think of it!! All kinds of tips are welcome! Is the logo ok? I'm thinking of adding a background picture in the header...

ps. I'm a programmer but php isn't exactly my "native tongue" (never used it). I have no problems making small adjustments but it'd take forever to code everything I want. :)
