Category Menu Problems - Help please?

Hello,

 

I am having some problems with the category dropdown menu. When certain subcategories are selected, it is not forwarding me to the right page in the website. The main categories work fine, but when I choose a subcategory, instead of taking me to a page such as /index.php?cPath=1_16, it instead takes me to /index.php?cPath=16 (it misses out the '1' and the underscore). I have looked at the admin for this site and the subcategories are there all correct. When I go to the correct location, it is as it should be. When I am forwarded to the incorrect location, I am seeing the same as the homepage.

 

I am using the latest STS (although I'm not sure if that changes anything)

 

Please help as I am tearing my hair out over this.

Hello,

You need to make sure that under Admin / configuration / my store, the use search engine sare url's are set to false and try to turn off your Cache.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, the "Use Search-Engine Safe URLs (still in development)" is already set to false and the cache was already turned off. Any ideas what else could be causing this problem?

I've reinstalled the whole thing last night (I'm only testing it at the moment) and still it had the same problem. The only way to solve this problem was to create the same template for both instances (ie ones with and without the underscore).
