Hello everyone,

I hope you can help. I have been given the reigns of a website to manage and looks similar to what I have used in the past but just a few sections different.

Firstly, Can I change the layout? Like have a different colour background, How do I put my banner at the top of the page as I have uploaded a banner and it shows at the bottom?

Secondly, On the main page when you view your store, for first time, it gives you info about admin, errors etc How do I get rid of that and put the website text in there?

Next, On the normal page, not admin, there is sections for about us, shipping etc on the left hand side. How do I get into them on the admin side?

Sorry for all the questions but on others I use it is quite simple layout and to follow, probably just cannot see where in admin I am meant to look.

Any help would be great

Click on basics for osc design just below in my signature...

You say to edit the

1. includes/header.php

2. includes/footer.php

3. includes/left_column.php

4. includes/right_column.php

5. Stylesheet.css

files.

I do not have an

includes/left_column.php

or

includes/right_column.php

And how do I edit php files anyway?

You can use a text file editor. If on a Mac try TextEdit. Or you can edit them inside Admin/Tools/File Manager. Is that right toyicebear? The basics you mention are useful. The STS add-on looks really interesting and well supported too if you have a bit of html experience. You guys go for it!

I'm stuck
