Where to edit to customize like these sites

Hello guys,

 

I'm looking at these sites:

 

1. http://www.dnrprinting.com/

2. http://bmponlinestore.com/

 

Though I'm not new to php but I'm pretty new to oscommerce. I tried to install the default template and it seems ok but when I tried to customize my template to restructure/arrange like the above sites, it seems I'm having a hard time messing with it. I tried google and I only found some basic editing and customization on some tutorials like changing background color or image and deleting some column boxes and some simple stuff.

 

My questions are:

 

1. Are there any links here where I could learn and start customizing my templates like the above site?

2. What are the possible php files that I need to edit in order to come up with the structures like the above sites?

3. One thing I notice, how can I separate the "Categories header" box and its contents place on another box like the ones in the sites above? same goes with the other column boxes.

 

I need your advice on these things and I appreciate very much any help and concern. Is it possible to finish this task in a week time? I desperately need you help on the matter as my job is on the line T_T. Thanks in advance and I'm glad to part of the community.
