index.php to load as index.html in public html folder as url homepage

very simple (for some). i've been out of it for a while. we use cpanel to manage our files and i would like to have our osCommerce shopping cart homepage index.php appear as my url homepage see g4g.com in the public html folder. thanks for your help on this most basic question.

Are you trying to move the store to the root AND change index.php to index.html??? It would be better to just have your url load as www.mysite.com/ with no index.php or index.html but if needed you can load php pages as html.
