index page help

this index page is killing me -lol

 

i need to remove all the spaces and text from my index page but every thing i try brings up an error message?

 

also i want to remove the page counter located on the bottom of the text below.

well i would like to make the counter show up on the bottom of my page but dont know how to do it?

The change for the generic text that is on the default osCommerce store's introduction and welcome is altered in the catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php file. This index.php file will need to be changed in all of the language folders. The words "There are no products to list in this category." on the bar that comes up when you click a category is also changed in this file.

that doesnt help.

did i miss something?

 

can someone just tell me what to delete in the code above to remove all wording and spaces.

it seems obvious but when i do it... it doesnt work
