Setup link to download price list?

Hi All

 

I want to setup a link on the homepage of my site so customers can download an excel document with all the prices etc, just for ease of use.

 

Setting up a link on the page is not a problem but where do I upload my excel document to?

 

I tried uploading to the download folder but kept getting this error when clicking on the link to download

 

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator to inform of the time the error occurred and of anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

I just tried moving to the images folder but obviously with it not being an image i got a page of garbled rubbish.

 

Appreciate any tips as been trying to find out whats going wrong
