Setting up paypal standard

i followed the instructions for linking the cart to my pay pal account but did a test trying to send money to myself and, well, nothing money never went into my paypal account.

 

i edited the pay pal standard module to include the email address for my pay pal account but nothing. Any suggestions.

This should be done through your admin, under modules.

Thats all you need to do...fill in the sections and set it to true.

As long as your email is for your PayPal accoount it should be fine

Paypal never allows an ID to pay to itself.So to test either launch sandbox and test or test with other paypal account.

you can also test with a credit card that is not registered in paypal

Thanks, actually, i did use a different credit card. Perhaps, I have a setting wrong in the module. Should I be selection the "processing" uption or the "paypal standard" option under the paypal module settings?
