Need html table help

Recommended Posts

I have been editing a recent oscommerce template purchase to fix some layout issues etc. Unfortunately, the template is old and the layout is coded with html tables instead of CSS, and though I do understand the basics of html tables, I'm less experienced in editing them since they are not used as often anymore. I need to move product titles below the image to make it more readable, and also to fix the layout. I have finally found the source code (I know you can copy it and click view source code, but it isn't actually in index.php as the address bar might suggest) so here it is:

echo '
        <td width=236 valign=top align=center>
         <table cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0 border=0>
          <tr><td height=12></td></tr>

          <tr><td width=137 align=center>'.$product_contents[0].'</td>
           <td width=84 valign=top>
           <table cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0>
            <tr><td height=5></td></tr>
            <tr><td height=45 valign=middle>'.$product_contents[1].'</td></tr>
            <tr><td height=6></td></tr>

(Note: This code is actually an html section within a .php file.)

I tried to make a new table row for the product tables by adding a <tr> tag like this:

<tr><td width=84 valign=top></tr>

It did put the title below the image, but messed up the layout for the whole page (except for the links on the left and top, which are in another file)

Here is the link to the page so you can see what it looks like.

Thanks in advance for the help; I appreciate it. Any suggestions welcomed.
