kylor12 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 I don't have the original CSV and would like to generate one so I can update information in a spreadsheet instead of individually from admin. If it's not possible to do that, can I find out how many and what columns need to be filled in so I can create one from scratch (ugh...that would be a LOT of typing). jhande Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 If you have access to your hosting server, through say CPanel, you can export a CSV file from within phpMyAdmin. ;) - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
♥geoffreywalton Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 The alternative is to install the Easy Populate contribution and use that to download a file. Then you can edit the values contained therein. The advantage is that any new manufacturers, categories etc are created automatically for you. kylor12 Posted July 15, 2008 Author Posted July 15, 2008 Thanks for the suggestions. Jim: My cpanel doesn't list phpmyadmin so I went and downloaded it. I'll have to spend some time with the documentation before I try to install it. Geoffrey: EP is listed in my admin section, but there are just some parameters that can be set. I don't know how to use it, so it looks like I'll need to spend some time with the documentation for that as well. I very much appreciate your information.
