Keywording Query

We have been working away on our site with kewording following a rebuild by a oscommerce specialist, however he has gone off sick and we are unsure on keywording.

 

We are not entirely sure thatthe keywording we are doing is correct or useful, so if someone could check out a typical example on the link below by viewing the souce of page it would be much appreciated.

You have already asked this question once on the board. Only you know what are the keywords/keyphrases that people will type in to reach that product page.

 

If I was searching for "Ford Focus Front Bumper" then you would have it in your title, product heading.. but not in your product text. That may be one area to add another instance of your primary keyphrase.

 

Your meta tags are a bit spammy, and your meta descriptions are too long and should not be a simply copy/paste of your product text.

 

Your primary concern should be getting the site 100% working, and at present with the pullout category menu not working properly on modern browsers is a major (annoying) bug.

 

As I mentioned before, search engines getting sessions will mean you will never rank well for your product pages. Install updated spiders list Updated Spiders List by stevel, you will then need to go into your admin and make sure that configuration->sessions->Prevent Spider Sessions is set to TRUE. You will still have some work to get rid of the already indexed pages with sessions in the url.
