hmsw Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Greetings, I am new to Oscommerce and I’m still trying to learn the ropes. What I have learned so far is the fact that as good as Oscommerce is, it can be so much better with contributions added in. I’ve been able to add a few contributions so far because in most cases the included instructions are great. However, I have seen the Loaded Oscommerce versions out there but their reviews don’t give me the warm and fuzzies. What I want to do is create my own Loaded version for my site. I just don’t know which of the host of contributions out there I should use for creating my new site. I haven’t been able to find a list of recommended contributions on this forum for new sites. Can anyone provide such a list or at least recommendations? Thanks HMSW
sLaV- Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 There are many many great contributions and they really come down to personal preference so nobody can give you a list as they wont know what is needed for your site ... maybe the contribution they recommend you wont need for your site

However, there must be certain contributions that would make a good solid generic base site that would include the best or most desirable features. I’ve noticed that some of the Loaded version of Oscommerce claim up to 100 “must have” contributions but no details on the list of exact contributions they include. There are so many contributions I’m a little overwhelmed. At least with a recommended list from our community of experts I’d be able to pick and choose what I really need or should have. Thanks HMSW
