Question about back end operations

I've been looking around in the admin interface

for a couple of days and have a couple of questions:

 

Does the concept of credit card batches exist?

I don't seem to have stumbled on the right menu

yet that shows me how to get information on

pending orders and to send them to the payment

processor first to authorize and then to charge

the card - am I missing something?

 

How about bulk printing of packing slips and

a dump file that can be uploaded to a FedEx

or other shipping terminal for automated label

printing? If more than a handful of orders will

be processed at a time, some method of

generating a picking list must also be possible,

where might I look for that?
