I am new to all this and need help, i have the following questions.

1. How can i set up Admin Password?

2. How to fix the following message?

Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/users/web/b2136/sl.0000000/public_html/oscomm/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

I have osCommerce 2.2-MS2.

Thanks

If osCommerce doesn't ask you to login when accessing your Admin, you'll need to secure it via a .htaccess file.

Do this thru your Hosts Control Panel.

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

I have set up Admin name user and password in .htaccess, but i keep getting the same warning. What else can i do?

You have to change the permissions on the configure file as explained at the link I posted.

The .htaccess file has nothing to do with the warning.
