Paypal payment and completion of orders

Hi,

I have OSCommerce configured to accept payments via Paypal.

I visit my site, place items in the shopping cart, create a ficticious customer account, get taken to Paypal to make payment.

I make payment using a Paypal account, and am thanked by Paypal for making payment. On this Paypal page there is a message "Return to merchant website".

If I do not click this link and return to my site, then there is no order generated in the Admin area. The customer account is created but there is no order generated.

Some of my customers are NOT clicking the final link from Paypal back to my site and I am losing their orders. Is there a solution to this problem.

Al I had the same problem. But what I did was add the following text in the Checkout_Payment.php:

If you select PayPal please ensure you click the orange RETURN TO MERCHANT button on the PayPal website once you have completed your payment.Failure to do this may delay your order!.

I high lighted the text and since ive added it it's not been a problem.

You say you are losing orders? The payment will still be reflected in your paypal account but obviously not in OS orders.
