bettyj Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 My host provider has recently upgraded from php4 to php5. The site was working great on php4, but since the change there are two problems ... 'who is online' takes forever to load (but does eventually display the right results!), but much more of a problem is that easy checkout now also takes forever - going from checkout confirmation to order confirmation can take 20 - 30 seconds!!! This is causing problems with customers as they think something is wrong so pressing confirmation several times (multiple card charges!). I want to continue to use php5 as I understand it is better, but I can't continue with the time the site takes to process these pages. All other pages on the site work without problem and very fast, so I know it is not a server/db issue. I also understand there may be minor script adjustments needed in order php5 is used properly... Help! Where do I begin to look?? :blink:
